Something to note, if you take a close look at the exit data you’ll notice that whenever white voters get to vote for a candidate behind a curtain they vote for the white candidate. When white voters have to stand up in front of their neighbors at a caucus they vote for the black candidate.

This had been pointed out before given the results in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina and I frankly didn’t believe it then. After seeing the same pattern emerge tonight with a much larger sample of states I can’t help but notice that it seems to be true

This isn’t to say that Hillary Clinton isn’t a worthy candidate, I’ll be happy to support her if she turns out to be the Democratic nominee. But going into this election I thought we might be reaching the point in this country where being a woman of being black would not be an impediment to success, at least in the Democratic party. It seems that only the former is true.
